Sentencing for a teen who committed a horrible crime against a younger child

From an Idaho paper.  I am wondering if the boy involved is already well on the road to being psychopathic.

An Idaho crime will always get my attention. 

You know BlueSky, for a woman who gets herself 'teased' about being a Bleeding Heart, my preference would be institutionalizing this boy for the rest of his life. Yea, that's harsh but so was his 'crime'. He was aggressive and violent and he traumatized a child who trusted him (and he counted on her 'trust' to lure her into the alley with a CARE BEAR?) How intentional is that? How malicious? Maybe people feel sorry for HIM because of his unfortunate childhood but my heart BLEEDS for the innocent victims! Those are the people we should be most concerned about, not someone who shows signs of psychopathy.

That's my opinion...why would we sacrifice another person's life just to SEE if he can fit into society? This was a particularly brutal crime...he lacks the most basic instincts for empathy and compassion which makes him a danger to other people's safety.

I'd say he's not on the road to being a psychopath, he's already there.

I just wonder who is at the right age?  There seems to be an age for everything.  I'm just curious.  This is what I feel our country needs to hammer down.  This is the age we do this, this, this.

C'mon, some people felt others were too old to be put on trial for WWII crimes.
