I understand what you mean about censorship. Freedom of speech is important.
I support a charity called The Pink Cross. The woman who started it, Shelley Lubben, used to be a porn star, but left the business, cleaned up her life, and now runs this ministry to women in the sex industry. While she would rather no one participated in porn at all, she understands the importance of free speech.
Her approach is that actors/actresses who appear in porn need to be protected by the same OSHA standards that the rest of us enjoy. Nurses and doctors wear protective gloves, masks, safety glasses, etc to protect them from body fluids that might be infectious, but porn stars are exposed to every kind of body fluid with no protection at all. Consequently, STDs run rampant through this industry.
That doesn't sound like much, but it is a reasonable and defensible stand and would actually cut down on on the worst kinds of porn. At least it's a start.
