In order to post images on your messages, you will need to create an account with an online photo-storage site like Photobucket. There are many sites offering this service but the easiest one to use (in my opinion) is Photobucket. You can register for a 'free' account and unless you are posting giant photographs everyday, you will likely never run out of 'free' storage space.
PhotobucketTo join Photobucket and set up a 'free' account, go here:
Photobucket.com Follow their directions and upload a few images from your computer to get yourself started. It may take a little bit of practice and time, so if you have any questions, just ask. Many of us have created Photobucket accounts and we can help you if you get stuck.
WoNCall up a new message window OR a new topic window. At the top of the 'blank box' is a list of icons. The image icon is located on the second row of icons, third from the right. Hold your cursor over the icons and a little pop-up window will identify the purpose of the icon. In this case, the popup window will say "insert image." click that icon.
A set of brackets will appear on your message with the command IMG inserted between them.
Copy the url to your image and post it IN BETWEEN the brackets. That's it. If you want to check and see if your picture was added correctly, click on the PREVIEW button at the bottom of the message box. Then once you click POST, the image will appear on the thread.
Back to PhotobucketAfter you have uploaded several images to your Photobucket account, click on the image you want to add to your message. On the left side of the screen is a list of options:
Email
Direct link
HTML
IMG code
It's easiest to use IMG code by clicking on the url. You will see a yellow popup window indicating the url has been COPIED to your mouse. All you have to do at that point is PASTE the copied url to your message box.
The IMG url on Photobucket already includes [IMG] brackets. This means you will not need to click on the message window icon. If you have any questions or problems, you can post to this thread OR post on the General board.
Have fun!
Hugs,
