Hello,

I am new to this website and blogging. Not sure what I am doing. I came across this website and recognized myself. I hope to share some of my personal stories to see if
there is any way to help change my self-defeating behaviors.

SadBoy,

Is there any way? There are probably zillions of ways...and since you know you have them, you're halfway home.

I talked to friends, a doctor, a therapist, an attorney, then finally another attorney, and then I found several forums that I liked............and all the while I have been "doing the work" according to my therapist. Apparently the work will never ever be done and everyone has to do it one way or another.

Congrats to you for figuring the hardest part out...it never was about them. It was always about you.

Or conversely, it was all about them and never about you, depending on how you want to look at it.

Welcome, SadBoy!

You may want to post on The General Board where more members read messages. Click the link below and if you have any questions about posting or using our forum, just ask.

Thank you all! It is a relief just to know you are out there!

I am having difficulty navigating this whole blogging thing.

I wrote for an hour or so last night outlining my history, behavior etc. I am afraid I may have lost what I wrote. I got some strange computer generated response when I tried to save or send my blog. It was in the wee morning hours but I think it said I was not logged in. When I originally logged in it was for just one hour. I think I wrote for longer than one hour.

Is there a search option to see if what I posted actually got posted?

Guess I should have pasted and copied my rant before trying to leave it as a message.

Any thoughts?

I give up! I cannot find my lengthy history anywhere and I am having a ridiculous amount of trouble navigating these forums, etc.

My stomach is .... I do not have the adjective. I cannot possibly recreate my history posting. Just the thought of it is too painful.

I am resigned to feeling hopeless and helpless. Yes, the classic N!

I am just sitting here shaking my head in disbelief and wanting to cry.

What's the sense.

Thank you for attempting to help!

Good Bye.

hi
it could be a case of, if its tough its really worth doing !
could you push through the discomfort and give it another go ? this is a v supportive and safe board. v v tough facing yourself and facing up to behaviour and taking responsibility for it and its impact on others, but growth is near impossible without it. i hope you'll stick at it.
best wishes

When you sign in to the forum, it ask you do you want to stay signed in forever or 1 hour.  If you select 1 hour and start writing your heart out and then all of a sudden an hour has flown by and you try to post, the post will disappear, which is very frustrating.

So, 2 things if you decided to come back for the future.  Either do all of your time on a word document and then cut and paste from the world to board (so your words are saved) or log in forever, which is not forever and you can of course log out, but that makes sure you won't lose your work.

Good luck

SadBoy has cancelled his membership. I have left this thread in case he reads the forum and decides to try again.

We make the WoN forum complicated so we can test your determination. J'est kiddin', but truthfully, many people keep trying in spite of the obstacles. You can learn how to use this board but it might challenge any fears you have of being a technology-retard.

Most people feel incompetent with new technology---but remember: You Are Worth whatever it takes to Learn New things. Keep trying and each time you do, your self-esteem will raise a notch or two because YOU are investing in YOU and countering your fears of incompetence.
