What is Legs going to come up with, I am looking forward to seeing everyones Avatar. Now if I can figure out how you load up the pics to WoN

Legs it took me several tries to get it, you will have to resize it most likely to fit. I felt like a frustrated rat pressing a bar to get the Avatar to work.

Do you mean adding an image to your post?

You do this much the same way. Copy the url code by Direct Link (it's on there, Legs! keep looking!) and then post it in-between the "img" brackets. You'll find those on the list of icons above the message window. It's the third icon from the left on the second row. It looks like a picture with a red line around it.

I don't have the thread handy, LettingGo. Here's another trick, though.

When an image is posted on the forum, you can right-click the image and select 'copy image URL'. Post that url between the "img" brackets and you can reuse any image that is posted on the forum.

If you want to SAVE an image to your computer, right click the image and select "save image as...." to store it on your desktop or an image folder on your computer.

Hi Free! Some websites have a 'block' on uploading their images so it all depends.

You can right-click on the image itself and a dropdown menu should appear. Select: Save Image As....

A screen will appear asking where you want to save the image. You can put it on your desktop to make it really simple. Or you can create an image folder and Save the image to your folder.

Once you have saved the image, you can follow my earlier directions for uploading it to a photobucket account.

for those who might not know, ALWAYS save an image to your computer. If you post the URL to the image without saving it to your computer, you are using the website's bandwidth. This can cause big problems for websites with popular images. so Be Kind. Save the image to YOUR own computer and upload it to a photobucket account.

Any other questions anybody? it's been so fun watching your avatars get posted!

ok, I found my avatar and saved it to my desktop. I coping the iNG code from photobucket. I went to the profile page and pasted every variety of the ING code in the space at the top, checked that I had my own picture, tried to select enter at the bottom of the page, but then the profile page coe=mes back up and instad i=on my ING code. it just says http again...I tied taking out the extra http. There is something I am still missing...look at my code please, Mommy

When you are uploading an avatar on your Profile page, you do NOT have to include "img" brackets. Only the URL.

("IMG" brackets are only necessary on the message reply window when you post.)

the url for your avatar will look something like this: http://MyPhotobucketAccountThatIsAwesome.jpeg

Make sure you are only copying http one time! I made that mistake, too.

I don't mind helping out if people are getting stressed-out over this...don't have a panic attack, please! Just let me know 'cuz I can do this stuff really fast now. It scared me to death at first so I understand what it's like to have so much anxiety with the narcissist that you can't tolerate learning a new skill!

and that is such a true and important thing.....I was so exhausted after leaving Lucifer (and that move was exhausting because we did everything but load the truck and drive it down) and emotionally drained, that even now, none months later, it's like parts of my brain are still frozen and I am very frightened to try and do anything. And scared when I try. I feel like I am still being controlled by him. I'm stupid. I'm crazy. I'm old. I'm ugly. I screw everything up. I can't do the simplest thing. I will fail. I'll be sorry. I wonder if I'll have that tape playing in my head forever. I really am scared most that I *can't* do anything.

Yup. That is the legacy of the narcissist, which is why we need to be very careful about the 'next' relationship.

One untrustworthy person is bad enough but two or three? We might never recover our natural instincts to trust again. What a sorry shame. There are so many good people in our world but we won't be able to see them or trust ourselves to know the difference between someone appearing to be good and someone who really is as good as they appear.

They are there, Legs. It may take awhile (it does for everyone) but eventually, we'll resume a much wiser and deeper appreciation for people who ARE trustworthy. this is what has happened to me. I do not take good people for granted anymore.

Well, that is a good way of putting it. People keep telling me that either I "will just learn to trust again" or else I have to make the "choice" to trust again. I don't think it's a matter of *deciding* to trust again and I think I'm too old and too distrustful and doubt myself too much to ever open that part of me again. In fact, I think that part is either gone or was too broken to work again. It sucks, but I know I'd have to be crazy to ever trust anyone completely again. And probably, I never should have done it in the first place.

I think trust is like love...once it's been broken, it does not get stronger like when some bones are broken. I think heartbreak and broken trust are permanent.

As far as those who hurt us, I agree, I could never trust the Monster Parents, Nsibs, or Counterfeit Prince 1 & 2, but Authentic Love is amazing and you learn to trust more and more as time goes by ....I am proof of that. You can not allow the KoN to contaminate the LOL.
