It was mentioned on another thread that when writing a message in the reply window, the text keeps jumping up and down making it hard to see what you've written.

If this is happening to you, please let me know which browser you are using.

I encountered a similar problem when using Internet Explorer. Switching to Google Chrome resolved the problem though. (Click on the highlighted text to download Google Chrome).

I would very very much appreciate knowing which browser you are using while viewing or writing on WoN. This will help other members who might be having technical problems that could be easily fixed by switching browsers. Once we have a list of compatible browsers for WoN, I'll put a permanent link on the forum.

AND, if you are using a Macintosh, please let me know that too, along with which browsers work well for this forum.

I use firefox, their newest version. I couldn't do the avatar thing because CZ said it was too large, but I never got that message like someone said I might, and even if I had, am not sure I could have re-size it anyway. I really appreciate the kindness of strangers here (who are already not really strangers at all) who help us...what's the word...neophytes? Neogeeks?

I'm using a Mac iBook 2001 500MHz PowerPC G3 with OS X 10.3.9 with Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6) 2005, and this forum looks fine and works fine on it.

My computer system doesn't always do well with youtube, flash etc. because it's so outdated.

I can also read the forum with Internet Explorer but everything is disorganized and the text is in long skinny columns, and I can't find a reply button there.

I use IE and have that problem when typing a long post (no issues the first couple of paragraphs) so now I just type it in Word and cut and paste.  That solved my problem since I had zero idea it was brower issue so I made my own work around.

I use IE and have the same problem with the text.  I manage to make it work and just hope that I don't have to write a novel - vbg.
