Hi EveryWoN, I just wanted to share this with you because it has been so very helpful to me. I found this more than a decade ago and have used it ever since with great results. I want to emphasize that I have no connection to Dr Slagle other than being one of her customers, and since I found a local health store that carries her recommended products I no longer buy online from her. Her book is can be downloaded for free and I recommend reading it, but the program is summarized in
this newsletter if you don't feel like reading the entire book.
Dr. Slagle is an MD who suffered with treatment-resistant depression for most of her life. Since meds did not work for her, she applied her medical knowledge to develop an alternative treatment method that focused on building a healthy and strong central nervous system. She succeeded in treating her own depression and began helping her patients do the same. Over time she began to see that this treatment approach was helpful for any disorder of the central nervous system.
I began it hoping to alleviate my restless leg syndrome but continued because of all the other great benefits I began to see in my own life. The best part is that I only need the full spectrum of supplements when I am going through a difficult time. When life calms down I can scale it down to a good multivitamin in the morning and Ltryptophan at night. I did add turmeric supplements in the morning because that herb has been proven beneficial in so many studies for so many different conditions that I now consider it essential for good health.
If you decide to buy locally instead of online, the most important thing to look for is a proper vitamin B6 (PYRIDOXAL-5-PHOSPHATE). Most supplements contain a lower quality vitamin B6 (pyridoxine HCL) that can be hard on your liver.
